SGS Australia / Fulcrum Robotics is hiring a QA Engineer

SGS Australia / Fulcrum Robotics is hiring a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and usability of our Android applications. You will execute manual and automated tests, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues across various devices and OS versions.

What You'll Do

• Conduct Google compliance testing for adherence to Google Play policies and Android certification standards.
• Identify, document, and track defects using management tools; verify fixes and ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and test scenarios.
• Support lab testing environments, including device setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and lab conformance requirements.
• Provide customer-facing lab support, including issue replication, troubleshooting, and validation.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in Android mobile application testing.
• Strong understanding of Android OS architecture, device fragmentation, and app lifecycle.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
• Experience with ADB, Logcat, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science in a related engineering major (EE, CE, etc.).
• Must already be in Chicago, IL or willing to relocate at own cost.

• 1+ years of experience testing Android applications for quality, performance, and usability, including executing manual and automated tests.
