TaxValet is hiring a remote Psychiatrist to deliver virtual psychiatric care as a core member of an interdisciplinary team. You will provide compassionate, high-quality care for individuals with serious mental illness in the Charlotte, NC area, co-managing a panel through behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
What You'll Do
- Provide behavioral healthcare management, monitoring and managing care aligned with a holistic approach.
- Develop individualized treatment plans early during the engagement and stabilization phase.
- Provide continuous, regular consultations both in-person and virtually as patients navigate recovery.
- Liaise with patient care teams and collaborate closely with behavioral health providers for an integrated approach.
- Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of various social determinants of health.
What We're Looking For
- Board-Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
- Active, unrestricted NC license and DEA in good standing.
- In possession of or willing to obtain a Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment if needed.
- Prior experience with mental health and/or addiction issues.
- Knowledge of the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the greater Charlotte area.
- A holistic perspective of health and an understanding of patient rights.
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfort working one-on-one or in group settings, with strong coaching and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ease adapting in a dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of technology and a passion for utilizing it to improve care delivery and patient outcomes.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, primary care physicians, health coaches, and peer support specialists, working within a collaborative and shared decision-making model.
