About the Role
The provider will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with psychiatric conditions through virtual consultations, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress while maintaining compliance with clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth platforms
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders across adult populations
- Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications following best practices
- Create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Monitor patient response to therapy and modify interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Collaborate with care coordination staff to ensure continuity of care
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in ongoing clinical documentation and progress reporting
- Respond to patient messages within established response timeframes
- Coordinate with primary care providers when necessary
- Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Attend virtual team meetings and case reviews
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment modalities
- Support crisis intervention protocols when required
