Apply is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals dealing with anxiety and depression across the lifespan. You will deliver care through live synchronous video sessions and asynchronous messaging in a 100% remote telehealth setting.
What You'll Do
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic formulations via live synchronous video.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Provide evidence-based talk therapy through live synchronous video and asynchronous messaging.
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatment, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of practice, including confidentiality and informed consent.
- Participate in team meetings, chart audits, and continuing education activities.
- Stay informed of current research, best practices, and advancements in psychiatric mental health and telehealth.
- Provide medication evaluation and management to patients within the LifeMD family of services including women's health, men's health, urgent care and other conditions, as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nursing program with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice.
- Current, unencumbered PMHNP and FNP licenses in multiple states.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the ANCC.
- 2+ years of experience as a PMHNP, with demonstrated experience in telehealth.
- Proficiency in conducting psychiatric assessments and providing medication management.
- Experience in various psychotherapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic).
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
