This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of AC Disaster Consulting. We're currently seeking a Proposal Coordinator in the United States.
Got a knack for crafting killer proposals and thriving in high-stakes environments? This role is your perfect match. You'll be the mastermind behind driving business growth through game-changing government and emergency management bids. From start to finish, you'll manage proposals that make a real difference, collaborating with subject-matter experts, technical teams, and leadership to create responses that truly stand out. It's a fully remote gig that offers flexibility, meaningful work, and a front-row seat to the world of disaster preparedness and response solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Take the helm of the entire proposal lifecycle, from hunting down RFP opportunities to nailing the final submission.
- Dissect RFPs with a fine-tooth comb to ensure rock-solid compliance and build structured responses using compliance matrices.
- Orchestrate input and schedules across internal teams and subcontractors to hit those razor-sharp deadlines.
- Keep databases and content libraries razor-sharp, including past performance records, resumes, and templates.
- Support the Go/No-Go decision process and ensure CRM systems like Salesforce are always up to date.
- Team up with marketing and data wizards to develop killer visuals, graphics, and formatted proposal docs.
- Enforce timelines with an iron fist, facilitate team reviews, and guarantee accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all deliverables.
- Edit and proofread content like a grammar ninja, working with technical editors to polish every detail.
- Back up post-submission processes, including FOIA reviews, debriefs, and capturing lessons learned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proposal development street cred, preferably in government or emergency management sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience that speaks volumes).
- Proven track record of juggling multiple concurrent deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Writing and communication skills that could make Shakespeare jealous, with laser-focused attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite mastery; Canva knowledge is a bonus point.
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience? Definite plus. AI-based proposal tools? Even better.
- APMP certification or equivalent proposal development training will set you apart.
- Ready to travel up to 10% and potentially work in challenging environments during deployments.
- Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and cool with passing a background check.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $31.25–$33.66/hour
- Remote-first role with flexible scheduling
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Short-term disability and voluntary long-term disability
- 401(k) plan with company match
- Generous PTO (vacation and sick leave) and paid parental leave
- Time off to volunteer and support your community
- Wellness allowance and cell phone reimbursement
- Company-provided laptop and training/professional development resources
- Opportunities to travel and deploy in support of disaster response missions
