IRC Deutschland seeks a Project Leadership (d/w/m) Protection & Participation in Hannover | starting January 2026 Full-time (40 hrs/week) | initially limited until 31.12.2028 About Us International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international aid organization founded in 1933 on Einstein's recommendation. Since then, IRC supports people affected by political crises, war, persecution, or natural disasters. In 2016, IRC Deutschland was established, engaging nationwide in education, vocational orientation, protection, legal counseling, and participation. In the Protection & Participation program area, IRC Deutschland will implement the ESF Akti(F) Plus-funded project "Aufwind – Self-Determined and Naturally: Counseling and Support for Families" from January 2026, subject to final financing confirmation. The project aims to improve the life situation and societal participation of families and children affected or threatened by social exclusion and poverty. Together with the cooperation network, consisting of Hannover City and Hannover Region Job Center, the project will support poverty-affected families in marginalized Hannover districts. The focus lies on counseling regarding SGB II and VIII service entitlements and family daily life questions. Target group engagement occurs through outreach work in selected districts and collaboration with family centers. Additionally, training and workshops will sensitize administrative staff, and professional exchanges with other actors will take place. IRC will closely collaborate with a parallel DRK Hannover project. We seek a Project Leadership (d/w/m) in Hannover from January 2026 for successful establishment, management, and implementation. Work location is IRC project rooms in Central Hannover. The position is initially limited to three years corresponding to project duration.
