Saabgroup is looking for a Project Support Officer to join our Naval Combat Systems group. In this role, you will perform day-to-day tasks associated with the provision of project management and project administration, supporting the delivery of critical defence projects.
What You'll Do
- Providing administrative support to one or more projects.
- Tracking and reporting on project progress and performance.
- Coordinating project meetings, telephone conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Producing minutes and action logs for meetings.
- Preparing professional presentations and maintaining document templates and distribution.
- Streamlining and automating manual administrative processes.
- Providing administrative support for business cases, project plans, and audit reports.
- Complying with legislation and company policies, including safety and quality management.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Strong planning, analysis, and communication skills.
- Excellent administrative skills with a general understanding of the project life cycle and methodologies.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage various demands.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a highly organized approach.
- Ability to prioritise and use initiative.
- 2–5 years of administrative experience in a project environment (essential).
- Hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one.
Nice to Have
- Awareness of earned value management principles (desirable).
- Administrative experience in the Defence industry (preferable).
