Brown & Brown is seeking a Project Manager – Program Operations to oversee the management of all aspects of software development projects, product roll-outs, operational enhancements, and other project types. In this role, you will partner with internal and external teams to ensure implementation according to time, budget, and quality thresholds.
What You'll Do
- Utilize and maintain PMO / IS Project Management tools like SmartSheets, Jira, and Wiki / Confluence throughout the project life cycle.
- Partner with Functional Managers, Business Analysts, QA, Engineering, Release Management, and Insurance Departments to implement insurance programs.
- Develop and implement project management tools and templates to improve the project life cycle.
- Analyze development, testing, and release processes to continually improve their efficiency.
- Organize and lead project meetings to facilitate goal setting, status reporting, and blocker resolution.
- Set goals with project team members and gain commitment to milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure business objectives and key success metrics are being met.
- Track project progress through schedules, budgets, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Report project status to Department, Project, and Business Management to clear obstacles.
- Collaborate with business-side managers and stakeholders to manage their input within projects.
- Gather project metrics to create predictable, reliable, and repeatable development practices.
- Partner with compliance to coordinate project activities according to corporate and regulatory standards.
- Identify requirements for web-based and back-office system projects.
- Coordinate system demos and workflow walk-throughs for business leaders.
- Act as Relationship Manager with IS/IT teams, carriers, vendors, and business divisions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 2-3 years of Project Management experience and/or training.
Nice to Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Lean / Six Sigma Certifications.
- Insurance Industry (or related) experience.
