Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address any issues.
  • Prepare and submit project reports to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise during the project.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Manage project teams, including assigning tasks and providing guidance.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Develop and implement project management plans.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure project goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Manage project risks and issues to minimize their impact on the project.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to discuss progress and address any concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
  • Experience with LEED or other green building certifications.

  • Experience with large-scale construction projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
  • Experience with public sector construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating software.
  • Experience with value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
  • Knowledge of construction industry software and tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
