NKT | Cable Solutions is seeking a Project Director to oversee the execution of High-Voltage cable projects. In this role, you will ensure all project activities align with our guidelines, contractual agreements, quality standards, and financial goals, while meeting customer expectations and driving the energy transition forward.
What You'll Do
- Lead the project team, define the project execution approach, and ensure cross-functional collaboration.
- Take over execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources to meet all project objectives.
- Define all project planning documents regarding scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
- Monitor each phase of project implementation to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, and health, safety, and environment.
- Build and maintain close relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and serve as the central point of contact for customers.
- Manage all aspects of the project according to agreed customer requirements, ensuring technical, safety, quality, and financial goals are met.
- Monitor and control project financial data, billing status, costs, expenses, and cash flow.
- Promote formal project acceptance, contract closure, and customer confirmation.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the skills of project teams.
What We're Looking For
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- At least 8-10 years of project management experience in the High-Voltage cable segment.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead a team efficiently within a matrix organization.
- Practical management experience with project objectives, costs, schedules, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Solid communication, persuasion, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
- Commercial and contract law understanding.
- IT affinity with secure application of Microsoft Office programs.
- High willingness to travel.
- Negotiation-level German and English skills.
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge in the field of High Voltage cables and the market situation.
- IPMA or other Project Management certifications.
