Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Project and Operational Buyer to play a key role in our Procurement team. You will be responsible for acquiring indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, ensuring on-time delivery and quality while contributing directly to cost savings and supply chain efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate procurement transactions to fill business needs, providing internal customers with goods and services in compliance with procedures and commodity strategies.
- Ensure full contract compliance and data availability in procurement tools like eProc, Click & Source, and Click n Buy.
- Prepare spend data analysis for tendering projects, contract amendment negotiations, and MFT preparation.
- Perform 'Local for Local' procurement activities aligned with MFT strategy.
- Deliver on initiatives for the Airbus Group’s Savings Programs using levers like requirement harmonisation and demand control.
- Input new suppliers into the appropriate Airbus system following established guidelines.
- Serve as the daily link to internal customers, validating needs and maintaining compliance checks.
- Develop collaborative relationships across functions to incorporate quality feedback into supplier contacts and negotiations.
- Lead and support the development and implementation of general procurement techniques, guidelines, and site projects.
- Maintain regular communication with internal customers regarding goods and services processed.
- Build cooperative relationships with vendors to improve partnerships and increase customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Business, Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of direct procurement experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of additional functions including finance, operations, and strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven effectiveness as both a participant and a leader on a work-focused team.
Nice to Have
- Project Management, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Certifications.
- Experience working in a manufacturing organisation or a similar quality-focused industrial environment.
