LawnStarter is hiring a Program Manager, Pro Performance to own the journey of our service providers. As the first dedicated hire focused on Pro success, you'll build the Pro Experience function end-to-end, designing programs that help new signups become high-performing Gold and Platinum tier providers.
What You'll Do
- Own and optimize gamification programs (challenges, badges, tier-based incentives) based on data and Pro feedback.
- Define and execute the Pro training and upskilling strategy, including partnerships, in-house content, or community-driven knowledge sharing.
- Partner with the Pro Support team to own the feedback loop, identify common pain points, and advocate for Pro-facing improvements.
- Systematize the gamification program into a reliable, repeatable system with consistent challenge cadence and automated tracking.
- Improve Pro tier progression, increasing the percentage of Intro Pros reaching Blue tier within 30 days and more Pros advancing to Gold/Platinum.
- Define, validate, and launch a training strategy MVP and track early adoption metrics.
- Become the go-to person for Pro experience, using data and relationships to influence decisions across Product, Ops, and Support.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and launching gamification programs (not just ideating).
- Understanding of behavioral psychology and frameworks like Octalysis or Hook Model.
- Ability to get things done through influence, building trust and showing clear evidence.
- Strong measurement orientation, wanting to know baselines, statistical significance, and persistence of results.
- Ability to write clear, compelling training materials, Pro communications, and internal proposals.
- AI-native, actively using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate work like analyzing data and synthesizing feedback.
Team & Environment
This is the first dedicated hire in the new Pro Experience function. It is an Individual Contributor role that partners closely with the Pro Support team.
