The Senior Program Financial Analyst will oversee all program-related financial activities from proposal through award and completion, ensuring compliance with government regulations and supporting accurate financial reporting. This role partners with cross-functional teams to drive program success and supports commercial and government contracting efforts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee program finances from proposal to completion, including cost planning, revenue forecasting, and EAC (Estimate at Completion) management.
- Perform variance cost and price analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to FAR, CAS, and other Government regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with government cost structures, including indirect cost and burden rate development (e.g., fringe, overhead, G&A).
- Strong working knowledge of government contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) and how cost rates impact pricing, profitability, and project performance.
- Ability to partner with Program Managers, Contracts, and Executive Leadership to forecast rates, evaluate pricing strategies, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
- Prior experience supporting DCAA/DCMA audits or reviews is highly desirable.
- Support completion of the annual Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS).
- Support revenue recognition determinations in accordance with ASC 606.
- Oversee billing processes, including milestone and progress billings.
- Collaborate with Growth and Product teams on proposal development and pricing.
- Assist in creating Statements of Work (SoW) with project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Understanding of Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRPs) and support that rates are compliant with FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience in developing monthly financial Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
- 5+ years of experience in Program Finance
- Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, and government contracting principles
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system
- Experience with EAC reviews, revenue forecasting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Familiarity with provisional billing rates, incurred cost submissions, and proposal pricing
- Ability to interpret contracts and assist in SoW development
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry
- Knowledge of cash flow management and milestone billing structures
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
