About the Role

Rising Academies is hiring a Program Associate, IWW to help implement tablet-based programs in our partner schools in Sierra Leone. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving education quality, supervising a team of performance managers, and ensuring student progress, all while contributing to our mission to create the best schools and learning tools for the communities that need them most.

What You'll Do

  • Manage 4-5 Regional Performance Managers directly and 15-20 School Performance Managers through a dotted line.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance through regular school visits and data analysis.
  • Interpret data and provide actionable feedback to school leaders and teachers.
  • Conduct regular coaching and training sessions for RPMs, SPMs, school leaders, and teachers.
  • Assist the Program Manager in producing Termly Narrative and Financial Reports.
  • Represent Rising at donor, national, and district-level meetings.
  • Participate in producing monthly plans and budgets for program implementation.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and resolve school performance dashboard issues.
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking and recording the progress of individual schools.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure schools have the right resources, like tablets and accessories.
  • Build a high-performing team and support the People team in recruitment.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with school communities and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field such as Leadership, Social Work, Development, or Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in education management, preferably in a low-resource context.
  • Proven experience in coaching and developing the capacity of school leaders and teachers.
  • Familiarity with tech-based implementations in education.
  • A passion for education, social impact, and promoting equality and diversity.
  • A proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Experience working with key stakeholders and management teams on school performance.
  • Experience with safeguarding children and upholding international safeguarding standards.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in implementing a tablet program in schools.

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the Program Manager, IWW in Sierra Leone and will supervise a team of about 4-5 Regional Performance Managers and 15-20 School Performance Managers.
