As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping efficient inventory strategies for a leading automotive parts retailer. Working in a hybrid setup based in Kazakhstan, you'll ensure product availability aligns with demand while minimizing excess stock and operational losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine optimal inventory targets to support consistent product supply and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with analytics and development teams to enhance forecasting and replenishment algorithms.
- Partner with logistics to identify and correct supply chain discrepancies, reducing financial impact from delays or shortages.
- Review and validate master data and algorithm outputs, establishing standard values and acceptable deviation thresholds.
- Support planning activities across departments and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with a solid foundation in supply chain principles and strong analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with inventory planning methods such as min-max, safety stock, buffer management, and demand-driven approaches, including their practical applications and limitations.
- Proven experience managing inventory for large SKU pools, typically 2,000 or more.
- Ability to diagnose process deviations, resolve issues independently, or escalate appropriately.
- Understanding of process optimization frameworks like Lean, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and Six Sigma.
- Advanced Excel skills, including LookUp functions, PivotTables, and Power Query.
- Fluent in Russian; intermediate-level English (B1+), with strong reading and writing skills supported by translation tools.
- Completed university degree, preferably in mathematics, economics, logistics, or a related field.
