UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is looking for a Regular Full Time Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to join the Monroeville Medical Oncology office as a Triage/Infusion nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of care, managing patient care activities, and establishing collaborative relationships to achieve desired patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Actively participate in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrate accountability for professional development and participate in unit-based shared governance.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally, modeling a healthy work-life balance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning principles and provide detailed teaching to patients and families.
- Apply the nursing process to create a healing environment, formulate daily goals and a plan of care, and demonstrate critical thinking.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months of RN experience.
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in PA, OH, or NY.
- CPR certification based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the ages of patients served.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.
- Good clinical judgment with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
Nice to Have
- BSN.
- Oncology experience.
- IV Skills.
- UPMC approved national certification.
