Beacon Biosignals is hiring a Professional Services Engineer to partner with customers on their technical journey. You will provide installation, migration, training, and advisory services, handling deployments from single-node setups to large reference architectures. Your work directly drives customer success and informs product improvements through collaboration with internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Use a consultative approach to help customers achieve their vision effectively.
- Deliver on Statements of Work with guidance from technical architects.
- Perform installation and configuration of GitLab solutions in customer environments.
- Provide technical training sessions remotely and on-site.
- Create documentation for implementation, guides, and maintenance relevant to customer needs.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of artifacts and templates for deliverables and training.
- Develop and implement migration plans for customer version control systems and data.
- Contribute to extending and maintaining documentation and scripts for implementation and workflow.
- Document and communicate opportunities for customer improvement to project and account teams.
- Support engagement managers on quoting and scoping of Statements of Work.
- Document and implement improvements for Professional Services engagement processes.
What We're Looking For
- Professional exposure with one or more IaC/CaC technologies: Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef.
- Professional exposure with one or more cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Proficient in English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote, asynchronous work environment.
- Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with multiple customer engagements at once.
- Positive disposition and solution-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates.
- Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
- Shares GitLab values and works in accordance with those values.
- Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.
