Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute a territory business plan aligned with organizational goals
- Deliver consistent, high-quality presentations to healthcare professionals
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets while maintaining full regulatory compliance
- Apply targeting methodologies to prioritize outreach and improve engagement
- Prepare strategically for key accounts using insights from prescriber data
- Strengthen collaboration across teams and with leadership
- Maximize field efficiency and customer contact rates
- Use feedback from pharmacies and clinics to refine outreach tactics
- Deploy samples, literature, and resources to support provider education
- Respond accurately and promptly to clinical and product inquiries
- Engage in ongoing training to strengthen sales technique and medical knowledge
- Complete additional assignments as needed
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have at least one year of experience selling pharmaceutical or healthcare products. Success in this role requires strong communication, initiative, and negotiation abilities. You should demonstrate sound business judgment, the capacity to work independently, and a commitment to ethical practices. Proficiency in English—spoken, written, and comprehension—is essential. Local residency within the territory is required, along with a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company-leased or approved rental vehicle, including overnight travel as needed. Level placement (Professional or Senior) will reflect years of relevant industry experience.
Compensation & Work Environment
This role offers a salary range of $100,000–$150,000 for Professional level and $108,000–$162,000 for Senior level, with actual pay influenced by experience, skills, and location. The position is based in the Albany-Syracuse area and requires regular local and regional travel.
