Celestica is looking for a Production Technical Operator 3 to join our team in Richardson, Texas. In this role, you will work under general supervision, receiving no instructions on routine work and general guidance on new assignments. Your tasks will be moderately complex, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Perform manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, and operation of automated test equipment.
- Inspect and repair products.
- Perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs, and first-line preventative maintenance.
- Demonstrate work methods to new employees.
What We're Looking For
- Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
- In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications, and SMT processing systems.
- Ability to set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
- Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with components and address them.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high-quality production within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
- Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks in some or all of the following: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, and Documentation control systems.
- More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge.
- Three to five years of relevant experience.
- A high school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further education.
