Inventive Food Technology (IFF) is hiring a Production Operator I

Inventive Food Technology (IFF) is looking for a Production Operator I to join our dynamic, round-the-clock food manufacturing operations. You will be a critical part of our team, ensuring the continuous and safe production of high-quality food ingredients.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and operate equipment on the production line in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Comply with all company policies covering Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP’s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and Attendance.
• Monitor the manufacturing process and equipment to ensure proper operation and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary.
• Recognize atypical or incorrect conditions and contact the Lead.
• Maintain accurate written records and logs.
• Assemble and disassemble production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Provide vacation and sick coverage for the opposite shift when required.
• Cooperate and assist co-workers as needed.

What We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
• Basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour night shift (5pm – 5am) on a 2-2-3 schedule; including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Willingness and ability to work in manufacturing environments wearing required safety equipment like earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes.
• Physical ability to stand, walk (including on stairs), twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Legal ability to work in the United States (No visa sponsorship/support available).

Nice to Have

• Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment.
• Previous fork-lift experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment and machines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
