Rolls-Royce is looking for a Product Support Manager to join its Marine division. In this role, you will provide critical technical support and service advisement to international marine customers, fleet operators, shipyards, and the service network, ensuring the highest standards of product performance and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Provide product support management and service advisement for international marine customers on technical, quality-related, and organizational topics.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for all service-related field issues, coordinating failure analysis and ensuring proper rectification measures.
- Identify and implement service concepts to enhance strategic relationships with major customers.
- Coordinate with international project teams across different sites to meet project requirements for resources, tools, and infrastructure.
- Independently implement and communicate customer requirements and support maintenance contracts to ensure uptime.
- Generate potential sales and service leads and oversee the technical scope and correctness of offers and orders.
- Optimize the efficiency of maintenance contracts.
- Continuously develop and improve processes and collaboration models to support customers according to MTU standards.
- Initiate product improvements and measures to improve product quality and reliability with internal departments.
- Promote a safety and compliance culture and uphold the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years’ experience in service engineering support within after-sales; OR 9 years’ experience in service engineering support within after-sales.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50-90% domestically and internationally, often on short notice.
Nice to Have
- Excellent experience in the marine industry and service support.
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines and/or internal combustion engines.
- Fluent written and spoken English skills; additional language skills are preferable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different management levels and cultures.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work for extended periods without supervision.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical ability to handle complex issues.
- Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite.
