Jump is seeking a Product Manager (Tax) to define and drive the product roadmap for its tax solution area. As the first Tax PM, you will own the strategy and work with a dedicated engineering team to bring it to market, integrating Jump's AI platform with major tax software and optimizing the experience for tax professionals.
What You'll Do
- Define the tax strategy and roadmap by identifying and prioritizing opportunities to integrate with major tax practice management platforms and other tax tools.
- Drive product development by writing clear product requirements for new integration features and tax innovations.
- Work day-to-day with design and engineering to clarify specs, make trade-off decisions, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with partners, working with engineers, designers, customer success, and sales to ensure features meet user needs.
- Coordinate with partner companies' technical teams when necessary to troubleshoot or enhance integrations.
- Understand tax users by gathering feedback on tax functionality and analyzing usage data to assess what's working and what can be improved.
- Drive adoption and impact by developing go-to-market plans with Marketing, Customer Success, and CX for launching new integrations.
- Monitor utilization and drive awareness and usage of tax integrations and tools.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in product management (or related roles) in SaaS.
- Background in tax or accounting software, or significant experience working with tax professionals (tax advisors, CPAs, Enrolled Agents).
- Comfortable diving into APIs, data schemas, and technical documentation.
- Passionate about building products to solve user problems, prioritizing decisions based on user research and usage data.
- Excel at cross-functional collaboration and can translate between engineers, non-technical stakeholders, and external partners.
- Proactive, able to handle ambiguity, and take full ownership of your product area in an early-stage, fast-paced environment.
- Define success in terms of real adoption and value creation, not just delivering features.
Nice to Have
- Experience building integrations or data-driven features in SaaS.
- Hands-on experience bringing tax or accounting-related technology products to market.
- Experience interacting with external software partners, vendors, or important customers in a product context.
- Experience successfully managing a roadmap with multiple initiatives, balancing deadlines and resources.
