About the Role
This role leads the strategy, development, and commercialization of low voltage products, ensuring technical feasibility, market demand, and profitability through cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities
- Define product requirements based on market research and customer feedback
- Collaborate with engineering teams to guide product design and development
- Manage product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches
- Coordinate with sales and marketing to align messaging and positioning
- Analyze market trends and competitive offerings
- Create business cases for new product development
- Monitor product performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed
- Work with supply chain to ensure component availability and cost efficiency
- Lead cross-functional meetings to track project milestones
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all product designs
- Support technical documentation including specifications and datasheets
- Gather and prioritize customer feature requests
- Identify cost reduction opportunities without sacrificing quality
- Manage product documentation updates
- Assist in pricing strategy development
- Evaluate emerging technologies for integration potential
- Participate in trade shows and customer-facing events
- Track industry standards relevant to low voltage systems
- Resolve product issues post-launch with technical support teams
- Maintain product roadmap aligned with business goals
- Facilitate internal training on new product features
- Ensure alignment between R&D and market needs
- Conduct post-launch product reviews
- Support warranty and field issue analysis
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in engineering or business administration
- Professional certification in product management
- Direct experience with low voltage switchgear or control panels
- Background in industrial automation products
- Experience in global markets with international standards
- Knowledge of UL, CSA, or other safety certifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience managing software-integrated hardware products
- Track record of successful product launches
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
