About the Role

3M is hiring a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Lead for its Electrical Markets Division (EMD). In this role, you will serve as the global PLM lead, coordinating the division's implementation of standardized processes and new modules to support product documentation and lifecycle management.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the division Global PLM Lead.
  • Lead and coordinate the global roll-out of PLM within EMD for implementing standardized processes.
  • Coordinate the global roll-out of new PLM modules, such as Bills of Material (BOMs), Change Management Process (CMP), Claims Lists, and New Product Introduction (NPI) Data Packages.
  • Coordinate the roll-out of other related digital enterprise solutions in support of Advance 3M initiatives.
  • Collaborate with corporate and business group PLM leads to ensure solutions follow established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with division stakeholders to align on prioritization and implementation schedules.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure standard operating procedures are written or updated to reflect new processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to determine data requirements and develop PLM structures for documentation and tracking.
  • Coordinate training for global PLM users and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Work with other regional PLM administrators to ensure consistency.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of combined experience with Documentation Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and/or Project Management.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with business teams and Information Technology (IT) to drive results.
  • Experience leading global and diverse teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts, especially related to data handling and digital advancements.
  • A process-oriented mindset.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Compensation: $122,292 - $149,468 base pay plus variable incentive pay.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position located in Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX.
