About the Role
The role involves designing user-centered interfaces and workflows for lending platforms, working closely with product managers and engineers to translate complex financial processes into clear, accessible digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user experiences for lending product features
- Conduct user research to identify pain points in financial workflows
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation phases
- Iterate on designs based on usability testing feedback
- Maintain and evolve the design system for lending interfaces
- Translate regulatory requirements into user-friendly layouts
- Work with compliance teams to ensure design adherence to financial standards
- Define interaction patterns for loan application and approval flows
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and leadership
- Gather insights through customer interviews and data analysis
- Prioritize design tasks based on product roadmap timelines
- Ensure accessibility standards are met across all interfaces
- Partner with UX writers to refine microcopy and instructions
- Support A/B testing initiatives with design variations
- Document design decisions and rationale for future reference
- Stay current with fintech design trends and emerging tools
- Facilitate design critiques with peers and mentors
- Integrate feedback from legal and risk assessment teams
- Optimize user flows for conversion and clarity
- Balance business goals with user needs in design solutions
- Use analytics to measure design performance post-launch
- Advocate for user-centered design across departments
- Contribute to design sprint planning and execution
- Mentor junior designers on best practices

Compensation
$120,000 - $160,000 per year
Work Arrangement
Hybrid remote with office presence required in select cities

What to Expect in the First 90 Days
You’ll onboard with design and product leads, audit existing user flows, conduct stakeholder interviews, and deliver at least one end-to-end feature redesign based on user insights.
