Micron is hiring a Process Control System Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing our semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality, reliability, yield, and cost while driving smart manufacturing solutions toward Industry 4.0.
What You'll Do
- Start up, develop, and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability.
- Work on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and risk management.
- Resolve manufacturing line problems, identifying and diagnosing assembly process issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodology.
- Coordinate and carry out process, equipment, and material evaluation and optimization to implement changes.
- Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Handle new process baseline qualifications.
- Manage, audit, and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk management objectives.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
- Develop smart manufacturing solutions towards the Industry 4.0 standard.
- Gain exposure and knowledge in Machine Learning, Advanced Control Solutions, Industrial IoT, and Deep Learning.
- Develop complete solutions including requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling, system development and integration, and network-wide implementation.
- Develop, implement, and improve smart control solutions for optimum manufacturing performance.
- Provide technical advice and support for process control implementation.
- Conduct intensive data analysis and modeling to identify sources of variation and translate findings into control solutions.
- Support the PDE Key Equipment Group team in Classification, Characterization, Categorization, and defining Data Collection Requirements.
- Perform Integration and Setup Data Collection in the Enterprise Equipment Engineering environment.
- Define Analysis and setup Requirements and Setup Limits and Out of Control Action Plans.
- Engage in periodic reviews with the PCS team and network on Best Known Material practices.
- Develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.
