Stanley Consultants is hiring a Principal Transmission Engineer to lead the design and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects. You will provide technical expertise and project oversight for a leading consulting engineering firm serving the power sector.
What You'll Do
- Lead the engineering design of high-voltage overhead and underground transmission lines.
- Perform structural analysis and develop specifications for towers, foundations, and conductors.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Substantial experience in the detailed design of high-voltage transmission line projects.
- Proven expertise using industry-standard analysis software (PLSCADD, PLS-POLE, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and other relevant industry codes and standards.
- Excellent project management, client relationship, and communication skills.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position. Candidates can be based remotely or from our offices in Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Des Moines, IA; Jackson, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Muscatine, IA; or Phoenix, AZ.
