About the Role

BusRight is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to drive and enhance the efficiency, execution, and cross-functional alignment of our most complex R&D initiatives. This role provides critical program management support for complex infrastructure projects, demanding a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on execution.

What You'll Do

  • Drive execution for major cross-functional programs, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Employ advanced forecasting, risk management, and intake strategies to mitigate potential delays and dependencies.
  • Quickly understand the scope, requirements, and risks associated with new and existing programs.
  • Cultivate solid relationships with stakeholders across R&D, Product, and Engineering, including senior management.
  • Collaborate on feature planning and resource allocation to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Adapt to change and iterate quickly; comfortable recalibrating plans, processes, and stakeholder expectations in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Leverage technical fluency to guide teams, establishing best practices and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Encourage innovation within program teams by setting technical fluency standards and facilitating professional growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in technical program management and working with product, feature, and infrastructure teams.
  • Proven record of managing and delivering complex cross-functional programs in a tech-driven environment.
  • Deep background in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and strong technical fluency.
  • Technical fluency particularly with infrastructure systems (e.g. cloud technology - especially AWS, networking).
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic frameworks and standardize processes for high-impact delivery across multiple programs.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • History of effectively collaborating with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Results-oriented with a strategic mindset; proven ability to drive multiple programs to successful completion with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to make data-driven decisions and communicate insights clearly.
  • Adaptable, iterative, and feedback-driven; embraces challenges as learning opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable using AI and eager to continue learning how to leverage its power and explore its potential.
  • Self-starter who thrives both independently and as a cornerstone of a high-performing team.
  • Extremely comfortable balancing technical understanding and experience with strong program management skills.

  • Certified/Tooling Excellence: Committed to best practices, maintaining key program management certifications (PMP, Agile, Jira, etc.).
  • Atlassian Admin: Experience managing and administering Atlassian systems including team and project configurations.
  • Third Party Management: Experience with 3rd-party management/engagement and building strong partnerships.
  • Raising the Bar: Excited to mentor others on the TPM team by sharing learnings, successes, and failures; ultimately helping others to upskill and challenge themselves.
  • Food Tech Fluent: Possess a deep, intuitive understanding of food delivery technology, products, and systems.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $157,000—$251,000 USD
