Silvus Technologies is hiring a Principal System Integration and Test Engineer reporting to the Senior Engineering Director. In this role, you will conduct technical activities for system integration and test, working closely with design, sales, and product teams to enable the development of advanced technologies.
What You'll Do
- Design and test complete solutions using Silvus hardware and software products to solve unique technical problems.
- Prepare and execute integration test plans, including embedded firmware/hardware testing and product-level functional testing.
- Define new products and features, and perform product evaluations and field tests for new capabilities.
- Respond to internal and customer requests, providing debugging, troubleshooting, systems integration, and engineering analysis remotely and on-site.
- Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications.
- Support the Sales Engineering team by preparing for demonstrations, training, testing, and recreating field issues.
- Support the creation and maintenance of customer-facing documents such as manuals, user guides, videos, and application notes.
- Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally for on-site engineering support, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and training.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field plus a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python.
- OR a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience with an advanced degree in the fields listed above.
- Proficiency with lab instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
Nice to Have
- Proven experience with wireless and radio communication systems, RF signal propagation principles, and digital communication technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking.
- Excellent organizational skills, attentiveness to details, and ability to multi-task and quickly switch gears.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively communicate internally and with customers.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Proficiency with PC office applications.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $180,000-$220,000 USD
