Altera is looking for a Working Student for QA Automation to join our team. This is a student/intern position ideal for work during summer or academic breaks. You'll apply your technical skills in software development and scripting to support quality assurance processes, working in a hybrid mode from our Munich site for at least 2 out of 3 required working days per week.
What You'll Do
- Support QA automation tasks and projects during defined work periods.
- Apply scripting knowledge to develop and maintain automation tools.
- Work with engineering software and operating systems to ensure quality.
What We're Looking For
- You are a registered student in electrical engineering, material sciences, physics, chemistry, or have equivalent experience.
- Availability for at least 3 working days per week, with 2 of them from the Munich site.
- An interest in software development and scripting.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Perl, Python, C++, Skill, or Tcl.
- Experience with Windows 11, MS Office, and UNIX/LINUX systems.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso.
- Good and fluent English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Design skills (digital or analogue/mixed-signal).
- Any experience with Physical verification tools like Calibre or ICV.
- Fluent German language skills.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Munich, Germany, requiring on-site presence for at least 2 of your working days per week.
