Responsibilities
- Direct and assist in providing top-tier soil and agriculture consultancy services to both internal and external clients
- Adhere to internal business management procedures and foster a robust health and safety culture
- Supervise the planning, scheduling, and organization of surveys using a mix of internal and external soil surveyors, ensuring adequate resources, budgets, and controls to meet program and budget needs
- Coordinate, lead, and perform soil surveys, including augering and excavation using manual tools
- Conduct the analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and presentation of soil data, including report preparation and management plans
- Assist in creating technically sound reports and soil management plans, including leading and supporting the production of soils, agriculture, and/or land use chapters for environmental statements as an author or technical reviewer of project deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of technical capabilities by staying updated on advancements in soil and land management, including developments in soil health and carbon sequestration
