Responsibilities
- Act as a principal investigator, generate & lead original ideas, strategies, & new scientific proposals in the area of inflammatory skin diseases with the use of complex human models.
- Anticipate, critically evaluate & respond to scientific, regulatory, or competitive advances/threats.
- Independently responsible for project science within area of expertise on project teams.
- Primary author of publications, presentations, regulatory documents & /or primary inventor of patents.
- Present at leading scientific conferences.
- Understand & adhere to corporate code of conduct & safety standards.
- Mentor a team & evaluate performance.
Requirements
- PhD in biological sciences, bioengineering or chemical engineering
- 1 year developing & implementing complex in vitro human models for drug discovery with a pharmaceutical company.
- 1 year developing & validating human tissue-on-a-chip models
- 1 year growing primary human tissue culture including multiple cell types in a co-culture
- 1 year performing data & image acquisition analysis & presentation.
