About the Role

Join NXP as a Principal Product and Process Security Certification Expert, where you will lead the security evaluation and certification strategy for our portfolio of secure embedded devices, including Secure Elements and microcontrollers.

What You'll Do

  • Drive security evaluation and certification for secure products across schemes like Common Criteria, EMVCo, FIPS 140-3, SESIP, PSA, ETSI EN 303 645, and NIST 8259.
  • Assess security compliance for products against standards such as ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 62443-4-1, and emerging regulations like the EU Radio Equipment Directive, EU AI Act, and EU Cyber Resilience Act.
  • Define security certification schemes for emerging embedded security markets, including IoT and Automotive.
  • Contribute to defining product-related security standards in public and private bodies like ISO, SAE, CEN/CENELEC, ETSI, GlobalPlatform, and GSMA.
  • Act as the technical interface between internal product security and design teams and external technical evaluators or auditors.
  • Liaise with external consultants, international working groups, and legislators shaping the security certification landscape.
  • Contribute to the technical certification strategy for NXP's emerging businesses.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Security/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telematics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with security evaluations and certifications such as FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria (CC), EMVCo, and SESIP.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle, Cybersecurity, and Product, Site, or Process Certification (e.g., Common Criteria, EMVCo, ISO27001, IEC62443, ISO21434, TISAX, GSMA).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security for embedded devices.
  • A driving, result-oriented personality with strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and self-drive.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder alignment, including cross-functional leadership and negotiation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with presentation and clear messaging being a must.
  • Willingness to travel for laboratory visits, workshops, and standardization meetings.

Nice to Have

  • A PhD would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Automotive markets and technologies.
  • Experience with System on Chip (SoC) and Security Microcontrollers.
