As a Principal Modeller in Health Economics, you will lead the creation and execution of sophisticated mathematical models that inform healthcare decision-making and market access strategies. Your work will directly influence how interventions are evaluated, with a strong focus on oncology and other high-priority disease areas.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and implement discrete event simulations and other numerical models to assess the real-world impact of healthcare interventions.
- Serve as the primary technical authority on modelling projects, balancing scientific precision with practical client needs.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring models are conceptually sound, transparent, and aligned with regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
- Oversee the full modelling lifecycle—from data acquisition and protocol development to validation and documentation—maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Guide and support junior and peer modellers, promoting technical growth and collaborative problem-solving across the team.
- Champion methodological innovation, contributing to internal training, tool development, and process improvements.
- Engage directly with clients as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insight on health economics and market access challenges.
- Represent the organisation in key meetings, proposals, and conferences, shaping project direction and technical scope.
- Identify new opportunities for modelling applications and lead the development of compelling technical proposals.
- Support dissemination of research through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at scientific forums.
What We Look For
- Proven leadership in health economic modelling with a track record of managing complex technical projects.
- Experience in developing innovative, evidence-based models to support market access and health outcomes evaluation.
- Deep understanding of modelling best practices and scientific rigour in health economics.
- Experience in oncology or other clinically complex therapeutic areas is essential.
- Strong commitment to team development and knowledge sharing.
