HEOR is hiring a Principal Modeller, Health Economics. This senior technical role sits within our health economic modelling team, where you will lead the design and development of innovative models to inform market access and health outcomes. You will focus on complex projects, drive technical excellence, and become a trusted partner to clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of innovative health economic models that inform market access and health outcomes.
- Act as the technical and strategic lead on health economic modelling projects, ensuring scientific rigour and client relevance.
- Develop, conceptualise, and build discrete event simulation models of healthcare interventions to demonstrate real-world impact.
- Lead a broad range of healthcare intervention projects and models simultaneously, including oncology.
- Oversee data sourcing, model protocols, and model validation, ensuring deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
- Mentor and coach health economic team members, fostering technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
- Drive innovation and best practice, contributing to internal training and process-improvement initiatives.
- Become a trusted partner to clients, providing consultative advice on market access challenges.
- Represent the company in client meetings, proposals, and pitches, influencing strategic decisions.
- Support client development by identifying opportunities and driving the creation of technical health economic modelling proposals.
- Contribute to research dissemination, including publications and conference presentations.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape working practices and strategic direction for the team.
- Lead and embed both internal and external innovation projects, developing novel solutions to complex challenges.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record in a senior health economic modelling role, with experience leading complex projects like those in oncology.
- Expertise in conceptualizing, designing, and building discrete event simulation and other advanced health economic models.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner to clients, advising on market access strategies.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects and ensuring rigorous quality control.
- A commitment to scientific rigour, innovation, and advancing best practices in health economics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for client meetings, proposals, and research dissemination.
