This role serves as a senior technical and strategic leader responsible for shaping the future of SAP Cloud ERP transformations. The Principal Engineer / SAP Cloud Solution Architect will combine deep technical expertise with business acumen to lead the design and implementation of next-generation S/4HANA Cloud solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, guiding them through digital transformation by aligning SAP cloud capabilities with strategic business goals. In addition to hands-on architecture and solution design, you will play a pivotal role in pre-sales engagements, crafting compelling technical narratives that demonstrate value, differentiation, and innovation. You will collaborate across sales, delivery, product, and engineering teams to ensure technical excellence, influence product roadmaps, and drive go-to-market strategies. This position requires a blend of technical depth, executive presence, and thought leadership to represent the organization at industry events and client forums.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee scalable, secure SAP Cloud ERP architectures, with a focus on S/4HANA Cloud, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop advanced integration strategies for hybrid, on-premise, and multi-system environments.
- Promote clean-core principles, extensibility models, and SAP Activate methodologies tailored to client goals.
- Lead architectural discussions in workshops, demonstrations, and executive sessions to guide decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives during discovery and solution design phases.
- Lead pre-sales activities from initial engagement through solution development, demos, and final proposal delivery.
- Articulate complex SAP Cloud capabilities in clear, business-relevant terms to diverse audiences.
- Represent the organization at SAP events, client meetings, and industry forums, including on-stage presentations.
- Partner with sales leadership to identify strategic opportunities and develop compelling go-to-market strategies.
- Mentor technical and sales teams on SAP Cloud ERP features, differentiation, and value-driven outcomes.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps based on market needs.
- Transform business challenges into measurable cloud solutions using emerging SAP technologies.
- Stay current with innovations in AI, SAP BTP, and generative AI within the SAP ecosystem.
Requirements
- Over 12 years of professional experience in SAP environments.
- Minimum of 3 years working with public cloud platforms.
- Expert-level proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud and on-premise deployments.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering SAP S/4HANA Cloud solutions.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, extensibility via SAP BTP, and core-to-edge architectures.
- Demonstrated success in high-value pre-sales engagements and complex deal closures.
- Ability to lead and influence discussions at executive levels with confidence.
- Skilled presenter and storyteller, effective in live demos, workshops, and keynote settings.
- Capable of translating technical concepts into tangible business value.
- Self-driven leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working closely with sales, delivery, product, and external partners.
