Responsibilities
- Lead and guide junior data engineers, fostering growth within an agile workflow.
- Define mid-term technical strategies for project delivery, identifying potential obstacles early.
- Work independently while knowing when to seek input or assistance from peers.
- Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance code for production-grade data pipelines.
- Deploy and manage software using big data tools including Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and Elasticsearch across public and private cloud environments such as Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS.
- Explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
- Partner with solution architects and R&D teams to drive adoption of best practices for large-scale data challenges.
- Encourage team-wide knowledge exchange and adherence to engineering standards.
