VSP Vision is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to partner with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and subject-matter experts to build robust, high-trust analytics solutions that drive business insight. In this role, you will act as a Technical Data Steward, ensuring our Global Data Warehouse is the trusted source of integrated Enterprise data and advising leadership on strategic analytics priorities.

What You'll Do

Perform advanced data analysis, including sampling, modeling, profiling, and statistical evaluation.
Research and assess data quality, lineage, and business use of critical data sources; provide recommendations to resolve issues and identify optimal sources.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to leverage data as a strategic asset for self-service analytics, corporate performance management, and digital transformation.
Ensure technical metadata and business glossary meet data protection, privacy, and quality standards.
Provide administrative and configuration support for the Enterprise information catalogue, business glossary, and Enterprise Performance Management application.
Collaborate within an agile, multi-disciplinary team of data architects, data engineers, BI developers, and scrum masters to deliver analytics solutions.
Adapt standard or develop new business rules for classification, forecasting, simulation, optimization, and summarization to support analytic needs.
Assess data source accuracy, define cleansing strategies, and recommend data quality standards.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or equivalent work experience.
6+ years of experience performing data analysis across legacy, cloud, and package applications using data analysis toolsets.
6+ years of experience working with analytical capabilities, including knowledge of analytical architectures, patterns, methods, applications, and Data warehouse platforms.
6+ years of experience creating detailed technical specifications, metadata, and release documentation.
Proficiency using SQL to perform data segmentation and analysis, including working with granular raw data from operational systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gather requirements and effectively convey technical concepts.
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and experience working in a large matrixed organization, aligning stakeholders, gathering business requirements, and launching product features.

Nice to Have

Experience designing fit-for-purpose analytics solutions in Power BI and Tableau that balance performance, extensibility, and maintainability.
Experience administering Power BI Tenant/Fabric environments.
Adept at creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces, including interactive agents.
Knowledge of modeling concepts: Relational and Dimensional.
