The Center for Internet Security is looking for a Principal Business Analyst to join our Emerging Products and Solutions department. Reporting to the Senior Director of EPS Strategic Solutions, you will play a key role in providing strategic support and data-driven analysis to enable business decisions. You will develop ways to articulate business value and translate business needs by recommending tools, processes, and data.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally to elicit and document business requirements and support translation into effective services solutions.
- Create a bridge between business requirements/user stories and technical requirements for developers.
- Evaluate new product developments and business requirements to recommend alternatives or enhancements to current offerings.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop solutions, and influence strategic decisions.
- Perform trend analysis and evaluate program or service performance to identify risk and opportunity areas.
- Understand user community, data sources, integrations, system interfaces, and cross-departmental usage.
- Understand data flow, integrations, and cross-departmental impact of changes for assigned services.
- Build and maintain process flow documentation for current and future states for new and evolving programs.
- Collaborate with internal readiness and training to ensure new functionalities are documented and reflected in training.
- Create comprehensive test plans with measurable testing criteria.
- Demonstrate excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a business analyst or equivalent role, interacting with non-technical stakeholders to elicit, document, and confirm business requirements.
- 5+ years of experience successfully leading and facilitating requirements gathering sessions with technical and non-technical participants.
- 5+ years of experience working as a member of an Agile team using Scrum and/or Kanban based approaches.
- Ability to effectively communicate business processes through written user stories, context diagrams, and swim lane workflows.
- Experience designing comprehensive test plans with measurable testing criteria.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- International Institute of Business Analysis – Agile Analysis Certification or similar.
- 5+ years working with Jira and Confluence work management and collaboration tools.
- 5+ years working with business stakeholders to design new business processes and workflows.
- 5+ years supporting product management, program management, or business development.
- Microsoft Project experience.
- Strong presentation capabilities.
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software like CRM.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $113,000.00 - $197,700.00
