Twilio is hiring a Presales Architect to enable customers in healthcare, non-profit, public sector, and NGO sectors to build the future of communications. In this role, you will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, driving technical discovery, proposing architectures, demonstrating products, and building customer trust in Twilio's solutions.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Account Executives and Partner Account Managers to execute pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Help customers achieve success by leading the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions, and guiding them on how to use Twilio’s APIs.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers’ senior leadership by understanding technical pains through discovery to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions.
- Build and present highly interactive, complex customer product demonstrations to showcase Twilio’s Communications Products.
- Proactively identify team or organizational needs, document them, evaluate criticality, and propose implementation strategies.
- Contribute to the broader Twilio Presales community through knowledge sharing, constructing demonstration materials, and creating reusable presentations.
- Mentor less experienced Presales Engineers and often act as a facilitator or team leader.
- Be a presenter at Twilio-sponsored, industry, and internal events.
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products OR 12+ years of professional experience supporting technical products coupled with customer-facing experience, particularly in delivery or consulting.
- Excellent communicator and presenter who can gain audience confidence and effectively communicate product ROI across use cases.
- Ability to build a deep understanding of a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution.
- Previous experience with customer engagement and supporting products and technologies, communicating product ROI.
- Demonstrates exceptional technical proficiency and thought leadership, contributing to shaping team strategy.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate strategic vision and influence others internally and externally.
- Customer-focused problem solver, adept at balancing innovative technical solutions with customer's best interests.
- Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more areas: Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP), Web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks - React, Vue.js, Angular), Experience building with REST APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture.
- Previous experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
- Experience with sales methodologies.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience working with partners (i.e., channel, System Integrator, ISV, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Experience managing strategic accounts and evangelizing new use cases and technology in the public sector vertical.
- Experience in Social Impact, Healthcare, Public Sector verticals.
- Demonstrated personal interest in the social impact sector.

- Compensation: Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota or Vermont: $163,640.00 - $204,550.00. Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts or California (outside SF Bay Area): $172,736.00 - $215,920.00. New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or San Francisco Bay area, California: $181,824.00 - $227,280.00. + equity: This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan.
Work Mode
This is a remote position. Not eligible in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA or surrounding areas of San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, or San Jose, CA.
