Miele, the family-owned global market leader in premium household appliances, seeks a student for a Praktikum or Abschlussarbeit focused on optimized residual heat utilization (m/w/d). You will investigate novel approaches to increase the energy efficiency of cooking processes in ovens, working within our Advance Development team during early development phases.
What You'll Do
- Investigate novel approaches to increase the energy efficiency of cooking processes in ovens.
- Use and develop models to predict required energy consumption for baking and validate them through systematic laboratory experiments.
- Optimize cooking duration and energy consumption through special temperature profiles and residual heat utilization while maintaining optimal cooking results.
- Be a member of the project team and work closely with the responsible developers.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Food Technology, Oecotrophology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
- Knowledge in conducting and evaluating laboratory experiments.
- Interest in food preparation.
- Technical affinity and basic understanding of physics.
- Independent, well-structured way of working.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in solving technical challenges.
Team & Environment
You will join an eight-person interdisciplinary and agile development team. The team is part of Advance Development, working in early development phases and collaborating closely with adjacent Research & Development areas.
