What You'll Do
Guide the strategic direction of Percona’s Observability Practice, ensuring customer needs drive technical recommendations and service design. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex monitoring challenges, with a focus on database performance and full-stack visibility.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine tools based on real-world feedback, and partner with technical alliances to integrate with key observability platforms. Play a central role in pre-sales engagements, offering deep technical insight to support sales teams in closing high-impact deals.
Develop scalable service offerings that meet market demand and improve adoption. Lead content initiatives, speak at industry events, and strengthen Percona’s visibility in the observability space. As the practice grows, hire and mentor specialists to expand capacity and expertise.
Requirements
- Proven leadership in observability, monitoring, or systems architecture roles
- Experience advising both customers and internal teams on technical strategy
- Track record of driving revenue and expanding service portfolios
- Strong background in solution architecture, particularly in pre-sales environments
- Ability to design professional services that deliver measurable value
- Public presence through writing, speaking, or technical publications
- Experience mentoring technical teams and fostering professional growth
Technical Stack
Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM), open-source observability ecosystems, database monitoring for MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB. Experience integrating and optimizing across proprietary monitoring platforms is also valuable.
