The compensation for this position ranges from £50,000 to £54,000. This opportunity is presented as a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll engage in team collaboration through regular stand-ups, contribute to strategic planning, and help maintain aligned priorities. Your focus will involve enhancing existing Power BI reports, developing innovative data visualisations that deliver genuine value, and generating targeted insights supporting organisational decision-making. You'll work intimately with stakeholders to comprehend their data requirements and transform them into impactful, user-centric reporting solutions. Ensuring all outputs meet functional specifications and performance standards, you'll create reports that are dependable, intuitive, and practical. Additionally, you'll utilize DevOps to manage Epics, Themes, Features, User Stories, and Tasks, facilitating smooth delivery and effective teamwork. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, define, and manage reporting requirements - Partner with Data Engineers to ensure data models effectively support reporting needs - Manage personal data securely and compliantly, adhering to relevant policies - Develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI solutions including data models, reports, gateways, and pipelines - Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI environment for reliability and performance - Design user-friendly, intuitive reports tailored to audience needs - Deliver user training and create accessible support materials - Stay current with industry trends and best practices - Proactively manage data quality and build strong stakeholder relationships - Potentially undertake additional duties as assigned by management Requirements: - Expert-level Power BI development experience - Advanced understanding of data modelling and visualization principles - Sophisticated SQL proficiency - Advanced DAX calculation capabilities - Proficiency in Power Platform tools - Comprehensive data warehousing knowledge - Exceptional problem-solving skills - Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Adaptability to evolving business requirements - Foundational AI and Machine Learning understanding - Strong Azure Data Factory knowledge - Familiarity with specialized data tools - Azure DevOps experience Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or related field Reporting Structure: The role is within the Data Team, reporting to the Head of Data Governance under the Service Director.
