The Virginia Department of Taxation is hiring a Power Platform Developer to join our Office of Information Systems and Security (ISS). In this role, you will provide essential guidance, oversight, development, and technical support for our enterprise Power Platform environment, working directly with customers to solve problems and leverage Microsoft’s platform to enhance agency operations.
What You'll Do
- Administer, configure, design, and develop within the Power Platform.
- Build and maintain applications using Power Apps.
- Automate business processes and workflows with Microsoft Power Automate.
- Create data visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
- Provide technical support and training to others.
- Stay current with the latest features and updates within the Microsoft Power Platform.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform components: MS PowerApps, MS Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Experience in the full lifecycle—analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation—of enterprise-scale applications.
- Proven ability to develop new PowerApps model and canvas driven apps and enhance existing ones.
- Strong understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods.
- Experience creating business processes and custom connectors for Microsoft Power Automate.
- Background in Power Page Development.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies like Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365, and Microsoft Azure.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the COV Power Platform environment.
- Familiarity with Power Platform integrations like DocuSign or SharePoint.
- Experience administering a DocuSign environment and integrating it with Power Platform.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
- Experience with API or services integrations and connecting multiple data sources.
- Knowledge of developing Azure logic apps and functions and providing Power BI support.
- Proficiency in software development using .Net, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SQL and RDBMS technologies.
