Workana is hiring a Power BI Developer to build and maintain polished dashboards and reports for the internal operations of a global healthcare organization. You will own the full reporting cycle, from data preparation to executive-ready visuals, translating stakeholder needs into clear KPIs and intuitive navigation.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by operational and business teams
- Turn stakeholder needs into clear KPIs, report structures, and intuitive navigation
- Create and optimize datasets using Power Query transformations, data modeling, and DAX measures
- Connect to and combine data from sources like SharePoint lists, Excel, and ideally SQL, Dataverse, or other connectors
- Improve report performance through model design, measure optimization, and visual best practices
- Manage iterative delivery, handling frequent small requests, quick feedback loops, and continuous improvements
- Support basic governance tasks like workspace access, sharing, permissions, and refresh reliability
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on Power BI experience building production dashboards
- Strong visualization and UX skills for reporting, with clean layouts, drilldowns, usability, and stakeholder-friendly storytelling
- Solid DAX and Power Query (M) skills
- Fundamentals in data modeling, including relationships, star schema concepts, and measures vs columns
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating ambiguous requirements
- Comfort with a high volume of small reporting requests and fast iteration cycles
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Dataverse experience with datasets, relationships, and governance
- SharePoint Online experience, particularly using lists as a data source and understanding permissions basics
- SQL familiarity for reading queries and understanding tables and joins
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate) in a citizen developer context
- Exposure to Row-Level Security (RLS), gateways, and deployment practices across environments
