About the Role

The Pan Lab at Pennsylvania State University, a multidisciplinary nanomedicine laboratory, is looking for a Postdoctoral Scholar. In this role, you will develop various sensing platforms and other nanomedicine projects, working closely with the Principal Investigator and other lab members to advance translational research.

What You'll Do

  • Design and conduct biomedical experiments.
  • Perform nanomaterials synthesis and characterization.
  • Conduct translational science.
  • Utilize 3D printing.
  • Generate, analyze, and evaluate data.
  • Present results in an organized manner.
  • Learn new techniques and approaches in state-of-the-art materials characterization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field and integrate them into research.

What We're Looking For

  • A PhD degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, cancer biology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field by the start date.
  • Multiple peer-reviewed publications demonstrating relevant hands-on skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience with electrical engineering and circuit design.
  • Hands-on lab benchwork on cell biology, immunology, and animal tumor models.
  • Experience with mentoring junior scientists, graduate students and working within a diverse, multidisciplinary group.
