University of Cincinnati was looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow

The University of Cincinnati is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology, within Dr. Sarah Skuli’s Lab. This role is part of a basic and translational research laboratory dedicated to developing new therapeutic strategies for patients with myeloid malignancies, with a specific focus on TP53 mutations, metabolism, and the tumor microenvironment. What You'll Do

  • Follow established research protocols and perform a wide range of laboratory experiments.
  • Design new experiments in coordination with the Principal Investigator and troubleshoot or adjust protocols as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all laboratory work.
  • Interpret data, judge its validity, and perform statistical and graphical analysis.
  • Operate standard laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Maintain optimal protocol and assay accuracy through regular quality and safety checks.
  • Perform mouse-based in vivo experiments.
  • May assist in training other post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and junior laboratory personnel.
  • Assist in daily laboratory operations, including organization and cleanliness.
  • Maintain an active role in laboratory meetings, presentations, and publications.

What We're Looking For

  • A Doctoral Degree in a relevant field or discipline.
  • Experience with routine wet-lab techniques including mammalian cell culture, molecular biology assays (DNA/RNA/protein extraction/quantification, PCR, qPCR, western blotting, cloning), flow cytometry/cell sorting, colorimetric/fluorometric assays, Seahorse analysis.
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis using tools like Excel and GraphPad.

Nice to Have

  • Experience analyzing bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing data.
  • Familiarity with multi-omics datasets (metabolomics/lipidomics/proteomics) and the use of bioinformatics or statistical tools to integrate complex data.
