Responsibilities
- Lead a team of platform engineers in designing and maintaining foundational systems
- Set technical direction for platform architecture and long-term scalability
- Mentor team members in engineering best practices and career development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with product needs
- Drive incident response and post-mortem processes to improve system reliability
- Oversee the implementation of monitoring, observability, and alerting systems
- Ensure platform security and compliance with organizational standards
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform performance
- Promote automation and self-service capabilities for development teams
- Manage team priorities and deliverables within agile workflows
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new engineering talent
- Balance short-term operational demands with long-term technical goals
- Champion documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering organization
- Support disaster recovery planning and system resilience testing
Nice to Have
- Experience managing engineering teams in a remote-first company

- Familiarity with service mesh technologies
