Alan is looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Tech Foundations area. Your mission is to enable product crews to experiment and ship quickly while ensuring quality, reliability, and security. You will work within our engineering team at a 600-person company to tackle high-impact infrastructure projects and improve our incident management.
What You'll Do
- Tackle high-impact and high-risk projects involving many engineers.
- Design and implement robust infrastructure systems with a focus on reliability and observability.
- Maintain our uptime targets while optimizing infrastructure costs.
- Improve our incident management processes and lead post-mortems.
- Mentor other engineers and lead crews.
- Contribute to hiring and shape candidates’ hiring experience.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
- Comfortable writing code for automation and tooling.
- Some experience as a Full-Stack or Backend software engineer.
- Willing to work in Python and JavaScript.
- Understand modern deployment practices and CI/CD.
- Able to debug complex system issues.
- Self-starting, entrepreneurial, humble, and collaborative.
- Fluent in English.
