Lola Blankets is hiring a Platform Engineer to join our DevOps team and help manage our diverse and growing initiatives. This is a contract role where you'll work remotely from anywhere, collaborating closely with our US-based engineering team during their business hours.
What You'll Do
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
- Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE)
- Create and maintain Helm charts for applications and services
- Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and availability (load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery)
- Set up and manage observability and monitoring solutions (Grafana, New Relic, OpenTelemetry)
- Provide operational support for primary revenue-generating applications, participating proactively in incident resolution
- Guide development teams on infrastructure best practices, security standards, and platform usage
- Contribute to the team's on-call rotation
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Platform or DevOps Engineer
- Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Production experience with Kubernetes administration (EKS/GKE)
- Experience with observability tooling like Grafana or New Relic
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with our application languages like Ruby/Rails, Elixir, or Python
- Experience with AWS services beyond EKS (ECS, RDS, CodePipeline)
- Experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build)

Work Mode
This is a fully remote contract position. Candidates can be located anywhere globally but must be available to collaborate during US business hours.
