Didask is hiring a Platform Engineer (DevOps/SRE) to join our infrastructure team. You will build and maintain the technical foundations that enable our engineering teams to move fast while keeping our platform reliable, secure, and scalable. You'll combine deep infrastructure expertise with strong software engineering skills as part of our small 'Foundations' crew.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to infrastructure evolution and improve our Kubernetes setup (Qovery/Scaleway), optimizing for reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Design and maintain deployment pipelines to make it safe and easy for engineers to ship changes multiple times per day.
- Build and evolve platform tools and abstractions to create a 'pit of success' for product engineers.
- Improve developer experience by ensuring engineers can easily work in environments that closely mirror production.
- Enhance system reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-mortems, including leveraging SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Strengthen observability across the stack (metrics, logs, traces) to enable efficient debugging.
- Work with product crews to establish and maintain SLOs/SLIs.
- Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure to satisfy enterprise security requirements and comply with ISO 27001 and SOC II frameworks.
- Build security practices into the development workflow.
- Investigate technical issues across the full stack (infrastructure, backend, front-end) as needed.
- Participate in architectural decisions and help shape technical strategy.
- Optimize resource usage and costs as the company scales.
- Help maintain and improve disaster recovery capabilities.
- Build automation to eliminate toil and manual processes.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with production infrastructure, virtualization, containerization (Docker), and DevOps/SRE practices, ideally in B2B SaaS scale-ups.
- Solid grasp of Kubernetes concepts and operations to operate an abstraction layer (Qovery) and troubleshoot platform-level issues.
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Scaleway).
- Solid experience with Node.js and MongoDB (or a similar stack).
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
- Strong learning ability and comfort picking up new tools and diving into unfamiliar parts of the system.
- Willingness to investigate problems across the full stack without artificial boundaries.
- Sense of ownership and holistic approach to problem-solving.
- Product thinking: ability to understand business context and user needs.
- Pragmatic approach favoring proven solutions and building for actual needs.
- Excellent written communication skills for a written-first, async environment.
- Team spirit, operational flexibility, and alignment with company mission and culture.
- Thrive in environments with radical transparency and distributed ownership.
- Passion for using technology to solve real problems in education and training.
- Professional proficiency in both English and French.
